Guidory is designed to operate with the smallest reasonable footprint of personal data. We collect three categories of information:
- Account information you provide when you create an account, including your email address and display name.
- Service usage, such as which channels you have saved or compared inside the app, stored to power your private library across devices.
- Diagnostics, including anonymized crash reports and aggregate performance metrics used to keep the app working.
What we do not collect
Guidory does not collect viewing history from YouTube or any third-party platform. We do not connect to your child's account, do not embed video, and do not track which videos are watched on any device.
How we use information
We use the information above to provide the Service, sync your saved library across your devices, communicate important account and policy updates, and improve Guidory over time. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Children
Guidory is intended for use by adults. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us at support@getguidory.com so we can remove it.
Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the app or by contacting us. Backups containing your data are purged on a rolling schedule after deletion.
Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No internet service is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; we work to address vulnerabilities responsibly when discovered.
Your rights

Third parties
We use a limited set of service providers (for example, infrastructure hosting and authentication) bound by contract to handle data only on our instructions. We do not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels in the Guidory app or this website.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app and reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
